Moving to Australia marked a big transition for the family, and with that came a shift in how they thought about home. For Tarun and Ritu, it wasn’t just about having a place to live it was about creating something that felt stable, familiar, and truly theirs after years of adjusting to a new environment. With their daughter growing up here, the idea of building a home became more intentional. They wanted a space that felt open without being overwhelming, practical without losing warmth, and comfortable enough to support everyday life.
“Home is where we collect happy memories, and I think we have built the one,” she shared. What followed is a home that reflects that thinking easy to live in, thoughtfully planned, and shaped around what mattered most to them.
In the beginning, the idea was to buy an existing home, as it felt like the simpler option while adjusting to a new country and unfamiliar processes. However, after exploring different homes, it became clear that none of them truly matched what they were looking for. The layouts, finishes, and overall feel didn’t reflect how they wanted to live.
“When we realised existing homes weren’t for us, we decided to build according to our own Wishlist,” she explained. From that point, the direction became clear to create a home that was more personal, intentional, and designed around their lifestyle.
The home has been designed to feel open, light, and connected supporting both everyday routines and time spent together as a family.
A wide entry leads into an expansive open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area, creating a natural sense of flow throughout the home. This central space allows them to stay connected throughout the day, whether it’s daily routines or time spent together, while still giving their daughter her own sense of space and comfort within the home.
It’s in the quieter moments that the home truly comes to life. Mornings here have become a small ritual something even their daughter looks forward to. “The view outside every morning is just amazing we love sitting there together and having our tea,” she shared.
Overall, the home feels balanced, practical, and thoughtfully designed for both comfort and family living.
One of the biggest challenges in the beginning was finding the right builder someone who could be trusted to guide the process in a new environment. Once that connection was made, the entire journey became much smoother. Having the right team in place brought clarity and confidence at every stage.
“Whenever we had any doubts, they were always there to answer every small or big query,” she said. From planning through to completion, the experience felt organised, well-managed, and easy to navigate.
What stood out most throughout the journey was how seamless and reassuring the overall experience felt. There was a consistent sense of support at every stage, making what could have been a complex process feel simple and straightforward.
“Once we found Shri Homes, every challenge disappeared,” she shared. That level of trust and reliability is what defined the experience from start to finish.
The selection stage became one of the most exciting parts of the journey, where the home began to take shape in a more personal way.
From choosing colors to finalising finishes, each decision added character and individuality to the space. There were thoughtful discussions along the way, with multiple options explored before arriving at what felt right for the home.
Even their daughter was part of those moments, enjoying the process just as much. “We had long conversations about the color selections it was the most exciting part,” she shared.
These final touches are what brought everything together and made the home feel complete.
A home that feels complete
Now living in the home, there’s a clear sense of comfort and satisfaction not just in how it looks, but in how it supports everyday life. The moment they first walked in is something they still remember clearly, a mix of excitement, relief, and happiness after seeing everything come together, knowing it was a space where they could build memories together as a family.
“From the moment we walked in, it was such a happy and exciting feeling to finally be in our home together,” she recalled. Looking back, it’s a decision that feels right in every way a home built for their life, their journey, and their future.
