In the beginning, the idea was to buy an existing home, as it felt like the simpler option while adjusting to a new country and unfamiliar processes. However, after exploring different homes, it became clear that none of them truly matched what they were looking for. The layouts, finishes, and overall feel didn’t reflect how they wanted to live.

“When we realised existing homes weren’t for us, we decided to build according to our own Wishlist,” she explained. From that point, the direction became clear to create a home that was more personal, intentional, and designed around their lifestyle.

It's only after living here that they began to appreciate how naturally the home supports their daily routine. Nothing feels forced or disconnected; every space quietly serves its purpose, adapting effortlessly to the way the family lives.

Rather than being defined by individual rooms, the home has been shaped around the moments they share together. Whether it's preparing meals, catching up after a busy day, or simply enjoying each other's company, the spaces allow everyday life to unfold naturally while still giving everyone a sense of comfort and their own place within the home.

Some of their favourite memories are found in the simplest routines. Talking about one of those moments, their daughter shared, "The view outside every morning is just amazing we love sitting there and having our morning tea there." It's those quiet moments that have come to define the home, turning everyday routines into memories the family will continue to cherish for years to come.

One of the biggest challenges for them in the beginning was finding the right builder, someone who could be trusted to guide the process in a new environment. Looking back on what made the experience so memorable, she said, "Once we found Shri Homes, every challenge disappeared." For them, it wasn't just about building a home, it was knowing they had people they could trust from the very first conversation through to the day they walked into their completed home.

As construction progressed, the selection stage became more than just choosing colors and finishes. Bit by bit, the home began to take on its own identity, with every decision adding another layer to the vision they had imagined from the very beginning.

It quickly became something the whole family looked forward to, with each decision bringing their vision one step closer to reality. Remembering that stage, their daughter said, "We had long conversations about the color selections, it was the most exciting part."

By the end of the selection process, the home no longer existed only on plans, it had become a true reflection of the family and everything they had imagined together.
